Tiko is a peer-to-peer student ticket resale platform designed to eliminate scams, guesswork, and friction from the student ticket market. Through Mdesign Consulting, I designed wireframes for the home page and wall of love sections — both of which were selected from the full group's submissions during client feedback.
The student ticket resale market is fragmented across Snapchat, GroupMe, and Instagram — leaving buyers vulnerable to scams and sellers unsure how to price their tickets. Tiko solves this by verifying every ticket before listing, giving buyers instant delivery and sellers smart pricing recommendations, plus an instant sell option at a guaranteed price. The platform launched at the University of Michigan in Fall 2026, with plans to expand nationally. Tiko came to Mdesign seeking a logo and website design that built trust, felt minimal and bold, and prioritized ease of use above everything else.
This was a group project within Mdesign — each designer produced individual wireframes for assigned sections. I owned the home page and wall of love sections. During client feedback, both of my wireframes were selected over the group's other submissions. I then iterated on each based on the client's notes, refining the layout, content hierarchy, and visual direction.
The initial home page centered on a bold hero image of fans in the stands, a "Find Your Event" game listing section with Michigan helmet illustrations, and a "How It Works" flow for buyers and sellers. The wall of love featured a grid of testimonial cards with a star rating system and a consistent background treatment.
Remove sign in/sign up buttons in favor of a single Google login. Integrate buy and sell options directly into each game listing rather than as standalone buttons. Move "How It Works" below the slider and update the buyer/seller steps to reflect how the platform actually works. Remove the search bar from the event section and add a countdown timer to each game card.
Remove the star rating system entirely. Make the testimonial cards dynamic rather than static. Match the background to the existing tikotickets.com color — a light grey/white rather than a dark background.
The revised home page streamlined the nav, moved buy/sell actions into game cards, updated the "How It Works" steps to match the actual user flow, and added countdown timers to each event listing. The revised wall of love removed star ratings, applied a lighter background, and reworked the card layout to feel more dynamic.
